Breast Lift Surgery (also known as Mastopexy) is a procedure used to reshape and lift sagging breasts. The surgery involves removal of excessive skin and uplifting the breast to a new firmer shape and position. The nipple is repositioned from downward pointing and the areola can be reduced.
Mastopexy is the surgery for women unhappy with their breast size, sagging or loss of firmness. Indicated in women who have lost weight or post pregnancy/lactation.
Should the breast tissue be inadequate a prosthesis can easily be inserted at the same time (see: Breast Augmentation) to increase the size. The procedure is rewarding and improves self confidence.
Dr Harper will advise at consultation on your suitability for the procedure. He will also discuss the surgery and options, explain the risks involved and advise on expected outcomes and results. This will enable you to make a fully informed decision to proceed to surgery with safety and confidence.
